Mr Nikola Tesla's Radiant EnergyInformation regarding radiant energy and/or static electricity, my findings/circuits, a few improvements and what IS possible!.
March 13 High AltitudeI have recently acquired, permission from a "rural" land owner, to conduct high altitude experiments upon his property. The land has a small river, or creek running through it, which is in the vicinity, of where i shall raise my aerial/antenna. Into the riverbed, the earth stake shall be driven (underwater), with only about 15 - 30cm left protruding above the water level. The entire system, shall be made to be, remotely controlled (down to, the adjustable spark gaps), the values of measurements, or readings will be transmitted wirelessly. High voltages (many kv's) shall be converted down (to many hundreds of volts) and transmitted some distance away from the actual aerial/antenna, before finally being stepped down again to 240v (australian household mains voltage), so, if, i to need operate the machine, take power readings/measurements, or if i need to be, for whatever reason, within close proximity of the system, i will still, be far away, from the aerial/antenna. Should a lightning bolt ever strike and fry the wires carrying the current to earth, i will be still, many hundreds of meters away from it, and the transformers, should either, convert any excess voltages, down to a safer value, or have their internal windings fried aswell, which will lead to an open circuit, between the high voltage lightning strike, and the low voltage terminals, that i maybe near (if remote controlling ever fails)... All measurements of final voltage and current (wattage), shall be (i hope) transmitted wirelessly, and i need to design a device to do this, i will most likely use, one or more PICMicro microcontrollers, and a 433Mhz transmitter (or similar), to do the job, and power to all these devices (remote controlling equipment), can be supplied by either, solar or combustion generator. I have set a "starting", target altitude of 300+ feet, although i do plan to get to at least a mile (1.6 kilometers), and i WILL, have to notify the aerodrome of this, of course... Securing this much copper wire "cheaply" is proving to be a bit of a task to!. Capacitors and transformers, are going to have to be, hand made (from many miles of wire!, capable of withstanding many thousands of amps), but this is no problem, and is just a matter of time, effort and money!.
